The cosplay shoot: Daki & Nezuko

Five images built around two opposing characters, played by nanami and Silvia Minella, in an interior dominated by grid-patterned shoji panels, blossoming cherry branches, red fans opened against the wall, and a pale, soft floor that absorbs the light.

The palette stays tight: coral red, dusty pink, black and warm white, with light filtering through the translucent panels and tinting the air a low orange, almost lantern-like. The shadows are long but faint, and the outlines of the figures remain soft, immersed in a warm haze that flattens the background.

In the first image the two figures are extremely close: white hair and dark hair cross at the centre of the frame, one hand holds the other's face, the bodies touch in a tension suspended between play and threat. The expressions are opposite, one smiling and sidelong, the other open and reactive.

In the following images the white-haired character occupies the scene alone. The body lowers toward the ground, stretches diagonally, rests on the floor with a feline gesture; the long red mesh obi unrolls across the frame like a line connecting the figure to the background. In another shot the pose gathers inward, a hand rises toward the face and the gaze turns aside, while red fans and flowering branches define the perimeter behind.

One image shows the two back to back, seated, their gazes diverging, the fabrics spreading to the sides and filling the base of the frame.

The last is a close portrait of the character in the pink kimono: long loose hair, a white horn among the strands, a red and white checked obi, one hand near the neck and the gaze directed straight at the lens, with blossoms entering the frame from above.
