The cosplay shoot: Maki - 2B

The set gathers Maki in an interpretation of 2B spread across different environments, held together by a palette that swings between warm red and cold blue. In the first image the figure is almost backlit, leaning against a doorframe, in a room crossed by coloured haze: the red gathers at the top, the cyan slides along the hips and legs, and the body reads more through outlines and reflections than through detail. The white bob and the open light shirt are the elements that catch the most light, while the background reduces to glazed surfaces and a small green glow at the bottom.

The photographs on the bed shift register. The light is softer and more evenly spread, a red tufted headboard fills the back, white sheets fill the foreground. Black lace lingerie appears, along with a dark band in the hair and a few white lilies resting on the fabric, with green leaves entering from the lower edge. In one image the gaze goes towards the lens, in another the figure is seen from behind and the room opens onto mirrors, curtains and distant reflections, with a few coloured points of light.

A water sequence follows: seated on the edge of a tub, the wet shirt clings to the back, the pale blue surface ripples and a flower floats in the foreground, in front of a wall of vertical slats. The same wall returns in the following image, but soaked in saturated red, with the shower stream drawing a diagonal of light and a bottle on a shelf as the only detail of the space.

The last photograph closes by returning to the initial contrast: red on one side of the face, green-blue on the other, the shirt held against the body, the gaze lowered and an indistinct background of glossy surfaces. The movement stays contained, more of waiting than of action.
