The modeling shoot: Ilary@Arcade

Six images of Ilary Hope inside an arcade, where illuminated signs and neon tubes define every frame. The palette stays consistent: magenta, purple, cyan and acid green overlap on skin and hair, while the backgrounds remain blurred and legible only in fragments, with isolated letters, buttons, cabinets and screens emerging from the dark.

In the first images she wears a red top with thin straps and large hoop earrings; her very long, wavy hair falls over one shoulder. Her gaze goes straight to the camera, her arms rise toward her head and stay suspended, and in the foreground a dark object is held out toward the lens, close enough to fall out of focus. The green of a sign behind her cuts across the scene and reflects on her hair.

Elsewhere the figure leans against a vertical tube of white light, one hand on the glossy surface of a video game, the body tilted forward while smoke softens the outlines. The pink of the panels and the cyan of the background split the image almost in half.

Another sequence shows her in a short white top and light knit trousers, beside a pinball machine: the neon bar runs horizontally behind her, her face turns upward and out of frame, her hands stay close to her torso.

The last two images shift register: black dress and trousers, a darker space crossed by green laser beams that draw sharp lines through the haze-filled air. In one the pose is low and gathered, arms raised and body compact at the centre of the lines; in the other the face is in three-quarter view, lit from the side by a pink source, with curly hair covering much of the torso and the background reduced to glows.
