The glamour shoot: Black Temptation

Black Temptation gathers a sequence of images of SatanBanans in a bright, almost emptied room, where the only recognisable furniture is a white table with a wide top and a chair pushed against the wall. Light comes in through the large vertical blinds on the left and floods the frame, bleaching the corners and letting the white of the wall and the white of the table blur together. The result is a very narrow palette: warm whites, ivory, a yellowish veil in the most exposed areas, and in the middle the black of the lingerie, the only dark block holding the composition together.

In the first images the model stands beside the table, her body tilted forward, hands resting on the surface; her gaze goes toward the lens with a restrained, unsmiling expression. In another frame she leans onto the table with her face propped on her hand, the elbow taking the weight, and the pose becomes more suspended, almost expectant. Then the scene moves onto the tabletop: the figure is seen from behind, seated, and the blinds behind her become a background of luminous vertical stripes that sets off the dragon tattoo spread across her whole back.

The last frames work from a very low viewpoint, with the table turning into a sharp horizontal surface in the lower part of the frame. Arms, legs, neck and chest are covered with tattoos of different subjects — flowers, geometric motifs, dark figures — clearly legible against the pale skin. Her hair, pink on top and green-blue at the side tips, remains the other strong chromatic element. The overall atmosphere is static and daylit: no quick movement, few objects, body and room held together by the same flat light.
