The modeling shoot: Naomi · Euroma2

Naomi moves through two very different environments, and in both her figure remains the anchor of the frame. In the indoor images the space is a shopping gallery crossed by neon tubes: vertical lines of cyan light run along the walls, while on the opposite side pink and magenta halos spread out and fade across the polished floor. The background stays indistinct, reduced to glows and reflections, so that colour becomes the only recognisable context. Naomi wears a short black t-shirt with printed lettering and worn denim shorts; her long, wavy blonde hair picks up the cool and rosy casts of the light. In some frames she wears sunglasses, resting on her head or held in one hand in front of her face, and her gaze goes towards the lens with a restrained expression, almost indifferent to the surroundings. Another image shows her seated on a low bench, a glass and a drink in her hands, immersed in an even pink light that flattens the shadows.

The second series moves outdoors, into an urban area with low walls of reddish concrete, poles and the glass façades of tall buildings in the background. Here the light is that of a low sun: the sky is white and overexposed, the tones shift towards warmth, and the red of the cropped top matches the colour of the wall. Denim shorts and white sneakers with visible socks complete the outfit. Naomi leans against the wall, stretches along its horizontal line or rises onto her toes with her arms above her head, her body engaging with the rigid geometry of the structure.

A final image shows her sitting on the metal steps of an exterior staircase, legs drawn up and face tilted onto her arms. The iron structure frames the figure on both sides, and a red light enters from the right, mixing with the cool greys of the metal.
