The images take place in two domestic spaces that seem to belong to the same home: first the corner of a room with pale walls and a laminate floor, then a bedroom with a red throw and an unmade bed. In every photograph Naomi occupies the floor or the edge of the mattress, surrounded by record sleeves laid out without order, some still standing, others spread like uneven tiles.

Light is the real visual protagonist. In the corner with the turntable a warm magenta slides across the walls while a cold blue enters from the right, and a small light tube resting on the ground draws a sharp line of colour. The two dominants meet on skin and on white fabrics, which pick up now the pink, now the turquoise. In the bedroom images the palette shifts: amber, acid green and a deep red coming from the bedspread take over, with softer shadows and a more enclosed, almost nocturnal atmosphere.

Naomi moves through the space as if she were used to being there: she leans on the floor among the records, tilts towards the camera, stays still with a direct gaze or looks down at the sleeves. In some frames the body is stretched out with the head turned back towards the viewer, in others it is gathered, seated, in direct relation with the objects around. The clothing remains consistent: short white tops, one printed with a Cherry Coke logo, dark shorts, long white socks, a pair of heeled shoes left on the ground. The tattoos on her arms and hip enter the frame as graphic elements, together with the posters on the walls and the turntable on the metal shelf.

Taken together, the photographs build a story of interiors saturated with colour, where music, everyday clutter and artificial light define an environment that stays recognisable and continuous from one image to the next.
