The modeling shoot: Midnight Voltage

Six night frames with Naomi, held together by artificial light that shifts between acid green and warm amber. The setting is industrial: metal structures, beams, iron railings and stairs, peeling surfaces, a pale pillar cutting vertically through the first image. The background stays mostly in deep shadow, while lamps and street lights enter the frame as blinding points, with elongated reflections and luminous veils crossing the field diagonally, especially in the fourth shot, where the figure appears immersed in a green haze.

The clothing is consistent throughout the series: a printed top with Chinese characters, glossy black shorts, fishnet tights and tall laced boots. The tattoos on the arm and torso remain readable whenever the light strikes them from the side. The blonde bob with its sharp fringe picks up the dominant colour of each frame, turning green, pink or golden depending on the nearest source.

Naomi occupies the space by leaning on what surrounds her: she supports herself against a vertical structure, stretches out along metal steps, lowers herself close to the ground, reaches up towards a beam overhead. The relationship with the environment is physical and continuous, never frontal towards the lens: the gaze is often directed upwards or to the side, the head tilted, the body built on oblique lines that follow the slant of the structures.

The palette stays narrow: cold greens, rust reds, dense blacks and a few white accents from the lights. In some images the colour shifts clearly towards brick red, in others emerald green dominates, and this oscillation gives the series an alternating rhythm. The atmosphere is that of a place crossed at night, with the figure lit at the centre and everything else left in darkness, recognisable only through outlines and metallic reflections.
